Every Judgment Is Outsourced

The universe of judgment recovery depends on being outsourced. Everyone owning or buying judgments must attempt to sell, settle, or recover the judgment, to collect any cash for the judgment. Anyone recovering judgments, including "Do-it-yourself" judgment owners collecting their own judgment, needs the help of Sheriffs and courts and/or process servers.

Sometimes judgment recovery also requires paying attorneys, a notary, and perhaps a private investigator. Judgment enforcement isn't guaranteed, and any money and time spent attempting to collect judgments, can be cash down the sink. When you plan on outsourcing a judgment to a judgment buyer, enforcer, or a collection attorney; a free judgment broker will save a lot of your time, and find you the best experts. .

This article is my opinion, and is not legal advice. I am a judgment broker, and not a lawyer. If you ever want legal advice or a strategy to use, you should contact a lawyer. There are four basic options when one outsources a judgment:

1) Enforcing your own judgment: You pay for and manage for everything and outsource with courts, Sheriffs, notaries, process servers, and perhaps other professional experts, perhaps including a lawyer or a paralegal to create legal documents or motions. You may need to hire a private investigator to locate the judgment debtor or their assets. A small amount of consultation might be all that is needed, to get over a little hump in a judgment collection campaign.

2) Selling a judgment for cash up-front: Judgments usually sell at cash up-front for a very small fraction of their initial amount. The only outsourcing will be to a judgment buyer and a notary, because you must assign the judgment to a buyer.

3) Hiring an attorney either per hour, or on a contingency basis (charging you 33-60% of what's recovered on average) to try to collect your judgment. The only outsourcing will be to your lawyer. Attorneys only accept the strongest judgments for collection with a contingency basis.

4) Assigning your judgment to a judgment enforcer, who will try to enforce your judgment on a future-pay contingency (charging you 50% of what is collected on average) paying you after money is recovered. Judgment enforcers will accept many judgments on contingency that lawyers will not accept on a contingency basis. The only outsourcing will be to the judgment recovery specialist and a notary, as you must assign your judgment to a enforcer.

When you want your judgment collected, you always must outsource it in some way the other. Sometimes you can recover your judgment yourself. If it does not work out, you usually can find an expert to help you collect it. Don't hesitate to get help when it makes sense for your judgment situation.
